I had spotted this wheatfield resting on a rolling hill while visiting Avebury. I spent some time exploring the maze of meandering tractor tracks in search of a composition that would balance the coppice of trees with the carved tracks I was using to lead into the scene. I waited until a long shadow from the ridge behind washed past creeping up the hillside before capturing the panorama.
